“Capturing a moment before it goes for good”
I studied at Great Yarmouth Art College and Bradford College of Art and Design.
After several ” Gap Years ” due to work and famiIy I took up crafts and then painting when I retired.
I began with photography, and moved to explore crafts – making wooden buttons, pin cushions in cups and saucers, button bracelets, Christmas decorations, paper and fabric gift boxes and finally moved on and took up painting.
I explored materials I’d never used before – soft pastels becoming my favourite. I’ve worked with coloured pencils, charcoal, brush pens, watercolours, Brusho, fine liner pens, acrylics and pen and ink. I don’t work well with wax crayon and I’ve yet to try oil painting. I’m often asked to do pet portraits -I enjoy painting all animals – but I also love landscapes and seascapes.
My aim is to become more creative.
I enjoy workshops and sharing ideas and information with other artists, – and love being able to exhibit my work for other people to see.
