Dear members

As you are aware we decided to cancel our December meeting and the AGM due to the new uncertainties around Covid. We will review the situation in the new year and advise alternative arrangements for holding the AGM. In the meantime we thought it would be useful to share some information which we would probably have covered at the AGM. Please find attached the AGM Slides 2021 which cover the following:

  • A little bit of history in recognition of the 90th anniversary of the Club. Paul found a few press cuttings relating the founding of the Club in February 1931 and an invite to the first exhibition in 1932. He also found a photograph of the Club’s first President – W.A. Rixon, who looks like a formidable chap!

  • A brief review of our activities through the year

  • An overview of our finances and membership – both of which remain healthy.

  • Current status of the committee – which remains stable.

We hope this is of interest and shows that the Club, despite everything, ends 2021 in a good position.

As the Committee we would like to thank you for your continuing support and to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
